It is not you, those techniques were not shown (or I think even mentioned) before. It is implied that he learned them during his trainings, but what they are, how many forms, what they exactly do was not really explained

this might be late, but at least a reference for future watcher. There are 10 forms it's mentioned in the earlier episodes and one an additional I think but that is for future episodes. I dont think they are explained in the training but we can anticipate the techniques by watching it. I think Tanjiro already uses at least half of the technique

This anime uses so much CGI and despite that, people still love it so much. The CGI is very good and hardly noticeable. I thought i would bring it up now since this episode definitely has the most use of CGI ive seen up to now in Demon Slayer. It would be incredibly hard to animate those Temari balls by drawings because of their pattern.

I was wondering why the hypnosis is working on Tamayo and Yushiro, but Tanjiro did say that these demons smell differently so ill let it slide.

It's unique and fun

i think the arrows are there to represent a mysterious force that pushes stuff. We see them as arrows just because its an easy way to understand what's happening. And personally I don't mind the balls its a cool power

The arrows are vectors given physical form and a typical shape. They are material, as opposed to the elemental flair from the human demon slayers' Breathing Forms. The difference is that they were invisible to everyone but Yushiro who happens to have the perfect counter Blood Demon Art.
